With three shifts and two caregivers on duty around the clock, Granite House is a great place to work. Those with experience in long-term care facilities or nursing homes will find similar work in the best possible setting. Here you will be valued and enjoy working with only four residents. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) will start at a higher rate, and those who wish to earn their certification will learn on the job and receive support with their training. With a team that has a low turnover rate, you'll have flexibility and meet some wonderful people. See our VIDEO on the home page to see interviews with staff members, site managers and resident family members, all so proud to share their support for our beautiful and welcoming home.
We have a wonderful staff and now have an opening for a part-time person to fill either our AM shift (6:30am to 2:30 pm) or PM shift (2:30 pm to 10:30 pm). This position includes working every other weekend.

Medication administration will be provided once trained in by the RN. Staff will provide sensory stimulation and maintenance therapy. Some household cleaning and laundry will be completed. Some days you might accompany a resident to a fun outing or appointment with the House Nurse. At the end of the shift, documentation is completed on each person's day.

AWAKE NIGHT SHIFT
Are you a night owl? The overnight awake person has a big responsibility, but also a quiet, self-directed work time. There will be hourly bed checks with hands-on cares with the residents, daily laundry to fold and some household cleaning. If there is an emergency or a need for another hand, a second staffer will be available downstairs, just a call away on the walkie-talkie.
SLEEP NIGHT SHIFT
There is a quiet bedroom on the lower level for our sleep staff with a walkie-talkie at bedside. The sleep staff are at the house to provide backup if they are needed to assist the awake staff person for resident care and emergencies. This is a great way to increase income by just sleeping!
